The Allegany Arts Council -- based in Cumberland, MD -- is now accepting entries for the 4th Annual Allegany National Photography Competition and Exhibition (ANPCE).

This juried show is becoming one of the region's top photo events, with $5,000 in prize money available (including $1,500 for Best of Show) and the opportunity to exhibit your work the month of April 2018 in the Arts Council's Saville Gallery, located in the heart of historic downtown Cumberland.

The deadline for entries (using the CAFE online system) is Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Maximum of 6 entries per photographer, and the entry fee is $30 for up to 2 entries and $15 per entry for each additional entry.

Categories are color, black-and-white, and multi-dimensional.

All artwork must be for sale and must have been created by the submitting artist within the past three (3) years. Entries may not have been exhibited previously at the Allegany Arts Council's galleries.

The 2018 juror is Karen Irvine, Deputy Director and Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College in Chicago.
