BlackRock Center for the Arts is now accepting entries for a juried photography exhibition, "Photography Now" (selected works will be on view from November 13, 2022 – January 7, 2023 ). Juror: Mehves Lelic Entry Deadline: Sunday, October 13, 2022 (11:59 pm).
EXHIBITION OVERVIEW: For this exhibition, Lelic is looking for innovative photographic approaches to abstraction and looks forward to selecting artists focusing on a wide range of techniques, from in-camera and post-processing methods to creating or finding abstraction out in the world and placing a lens in front of it. The exhibit “Photography Now” (on view November 13, 2022 – January 7, 2023) is a regional exhibition highlighting various techniques and perspectives. Whether there is distortion in the method or subject matter, the contemporary collection of work aims to push the boundaries of understanding, focusing on abstract elements and experimentation.
