The Historical Society of Frederick County is holding the 2015 Byerly-Rothwell Photography Contest (entries due Aug. 29, 2015). The Byerly-Rothwell Photography Contest encourages individuals of all ages to discover the history of Frederick County through photography. The annual contest is supported through the generosity of the Rothwell Family Foundation and is open to individuals of all ages, amateurs and professionals, who reside or attend school in Frederick County. Contest entries should depict some aspect of Frederick County, Maryland history or heritage. Subjects include, but are not limited to, historic structures, historical objects, places of historical significance, important events, notable individuals, and traditional activities.
