Lisa Mayo is a long-time wildlife photographer who has spent two decades volunteering at Maryland’s Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. A few years ago, she became interested in photographing macro wildlife and is now a dedicated macro photographer having won both local and national awards for her photographs of jumping spiders. Lisa will share her macro adventures in nature as well as tips for choosing the best macro gear and settings. She will also share her techniques for how to get close to skittish insects and spiders.
For this talk, Lisa will bring a selection of specialty macro lenses and flash diffusers so attendees can see some of the amazing equipment available to macro photographers.
You can see Lisa's most current macro work on her Flickr page at https://www.flickr.com/photos/lisamayo and on her Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/lisa.mayo.photography/
