February 18 Meeting 7 pm, Zoom Only Critique Night

Our annual critique night is a great opportunity to learn from a professional photographer as she reviews images submitted by our members. When looking at our own photos we can get accustomed to our work, losing the objective perspective toward what we do. A good way to take a step back and get a fresh perspective can be through photo critiques. What are photo critiques? And why can it be a turning point to get one? Photo critiques are meant to improve your work and push you to be better.

Join us as Lori Lankford, a professional photographer who both teaches classes and leads photo workshops, takes a look at member photos submitted for critique. She will be viewing the images without any knowledge of who took them, the stories behind them, or the settings used. Her main goal will be to tell us why an image works, or perhaps what does not work and can be improved. A critique is always a learning experience, both for those whose images are being examined and for those who are just observing. You can learn more about Lori by visiting her website: lorilankford.com.

Anyone is welcome to attend this Zoom meeting. All Clique members will receive the meeting link in the next email blast prior to the meeting. Non-members who would like to attend may request the link by sending email to info@frederickcameraclique.org.
