6:30 pm Frederick Book Arts Center
We are fortunate to have here in Frederick an arts center dedicated to the preservation of the book arts and all things analog! Inside this impressive remodeled building you will find old fashioned letterpress machines, and areas dedicated to printmaking, stone lithography, screen printing, and bookbinding. There is even a newly opened darkroom, the only one available to the public for miles around!
Join us in the lobby of the book arts center at 6:30 pm on March 11, where we will get a tour of the facility and all it has to offer, with a special emphasis on how the center can support photographers. In addition to seeing the darkroom, Bob Cummings will give us a talk about solar plate printing, something you won't want to miss.
Anyone is welcome to attend this meeting. It is suggested you park at the All Saints Street parking garage next to the Delaplaine and walk up the block to the corner of S. Carroll and E. South Streets. The address is 127 S. Carroll St., Frederick, MD.
